Kiran’s fresh and inspiring comedy style combines a visual edge and distinct look, with nuanced and subtle performances, in addition to his flawless comedic timing. His years as an award-winning advertising creative gives him deep insight into what hoops creatives face moving projects into production, and the results clients need for maximum impact.

Kiran was born and raised in India. After earning degrees in Economics and Public Administration, he abandoned his plans of becoming a tenured bureaucrat for a career in advertising as an art director. After working for a spell in the Indian ad industry, Kiran made his way West, to Texas, to investigate a formal education in Art Direction.

A prolonged stint at The Richards Group in Dallas followed. Bitten by the Director bug, Kiran moved west once again, to Innocean Worldwide in California. Here he sought to soothe his directorial itch by working on projects of various sizes, for a diverse range of clients, while still a full-time agency creative director.

Kiran’s work for Atomic Candy has won two consecutive Bronze EPICA Awards. His film for the Thousand Dollar Shave Society was recognized with a Graphis Gold, a Gold Adweek Watch Award, One Show and One Screen Shortlists, a Bronze at the New York Festivals, and an inclusion in the Communication Arts Ad Annual. His commercial for Organic Doggie Treats won a Bronze Clio, a Gold National ADDY, and two Bronzes at the London International Awards.

In 2017, he was selected by SHOOT Magazine for their New Directors Showcase. He made the Shortlist for Best New International Director at the Kinsale Shark Awards in Ireland, and was one of only two finalists at the London International Awards for Best New Director - Body Of Work. He was the only agency creative on these lists.

Kiran lives in Long Beach, California, with his wife and two kids.
